Ligue 1

PSG gets a 1-0 win with Saint Etienne, with a goal scored by Kyilian Mbappe, and continues it’s march towards their 8th title (and second consecutive), 12 points above second placed Lille, who only gets a blank draw against Montpeiller this round. Third placed Lyon, 46 points, wins against Guingamp, 2-1, and reduces the gap from Lille to 4 points. Marseille have won 2-0 against Amiens, goals by Florian Thauvin and Mario Balotelli, to record their third consecutive win and took advantage of Saint-Etienne’s defeat to climb to 4th place, 6 points behind Lyon and point-tied with said Saint-Etienne. Montpeiller falls on 6th place, while Reims climbs to 7th following a 2-0 win against Reims. Nice also falls to 8th place following a 0-3 defeat to Angers.

At relegation, Monaco won against Nantes with 1-0 and, for the first time in 16 rounds, have managed to leave the relegation zone and climbed to 16th place, with 22 points. One point behind is Amiens, narrowly above the said zone. The relegation zone begins with 18th place Dijon, who lost 0-2 to Nîmes, and have 20 points. Caen remains on 19th, even with a blank draw with Strassbourg, one point behind Dijon, while last place Guingamp looks like  a certain victim, 5 points behind Caen and defeated by Lyon.

Primera Division

Leaders Barcelona won 1-0 against Real Valladoid and have consolidated their lead, 7 points above the second place, and are nearing a new title. Atletico Madrid have climbed on 2nd place with a 1-0 win against fellow city team Rayo Vallecano, while Real Madrid have fallen on third place following their 1-2 defeat to Girona (on Bernabeu no less). Defated 0-3 by Villareal, Sevilla remains on 4th place, with 37 points, while Getafe remains on 5th place, missing the chance to climb to the last UCL place after drawing with Eibar (2-2). Alaves also remains on 6th place, after a draw 1-1 with Real Betis, who also fell two places lower. Real Sociedad have climbed to 7th place after a 3-0 win over Leganes.

Girona have climbed on 15th place after their win over Real Madrid, four points above the first relegation place, which means they’re relatively safe if they continue to accumulate points. Valladoid, defeated by Barcelona, and Celta Vigo, defeated 1-4 by Levante, are seated on the last non-relegatable places. Villareal, on 18th place, despite their win over Sevilla, are seating on the first place leading to Segunda Division. Rayo Vallecano, defeated by Atletico, fall on the 19th after Villareal’s win against Sevilla. Last place Huesca are still to play against Huesca.
